Dustin Kahoud, Psy.D. received his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Long Island University, Post Campus, and is a credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor (CASAC). He was trained in both psychodynamic psychotherapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and has advanced postdoctoral training in psychodynamic psychotherapy from Adelphi University's Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies. His publications focus on the the co-occurrence of addictions and creativity, and integrative psychotherapy approaches. He currently teaches courses on the Psychology of Addictions, Psychopharmacology, Social Psychology, and Biological Bases of Behavior for graduate programs at Adelphi University and LIU Post, and is Assistant Director of the Psychological Services Center at LIU Post's Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program.
